Why your Facebook page still matters
A Facebook page still matters — it's where people check you out after a referral. But most pages are set up wrong and never get found. Here's the setup that actually works.
Even if customers find you on Google first, a lot of them will search your name on Facebook to see if you're real. A half-finished page quietly hurts you. A finished one closes the gap.
Create the page right
Use your real business name — not a keyword-stuffed version. Pick a specific category ('Pressure Washing Service,' not 'Contractor'). Claim a username (vanity URL) that matches your business. Fill out the About with your service area in plain words.
Get the basics exact: name, address, phone, hours, and website. Consistent contact info across Google and Facebook helps both trust you.
The 7 things that get you found
Accurate name, address, and phone. A specific category. A real profile logo and a cover photo of your work. A services list with each service named. A call-to-action button ('Call Now' or 'Send Message'). Current hours. And a website link.
Miss any of these and the page looks abandoned — which is worse than having no page at all.
Your first 10 posts
Before you share the page, post a mix: a few before/afters, a team or 'on the job' photo, a quick tip for homeowners, and a thank-you to a recent customer. Ten posts makes the page feel lived-in.
After that, one or two posts a week is enough. Photos of real work beat graphics and stock images every time.
Connect it to your website and Google
Link your Facebook page to your website and your Google Business Profile. Customers move between all three before they call — make sure the story matches everywhere.
If you collect Google reviews, you can also screenshot and reshare the best ones on Facebook. Social proof travels.
